Some guitarists learn to play. Vick LeCar was born to play. Raised across the United States — from New Jersey and New York to Texas and ultimately New Orleans, a city that bleeds music — Vick has spent four decades channeling the raw voltage of Jimi Hendrix, the ferocity of Ritchie Blackmore, the soulful fire of Carlos Santana, and the emotional depth of Gary Moore into a sound that is entirely, unmistakably his own. His weapon of choice: a 1987 white Gibson Les Paul Standard. His ammunition: everything he has ever lived.

The journey began in 1984 with Blazed Fury, where a teenage Vick was already holding down both lead and rhythm guitar with a maturity that turned heads. By 1986 he founded Vikron, then moved through the glam-soaked world of Foxxie and the hard-hitting outfit Platinum before launching LeCarr — the project that would define the early chapter of his legacy and run well into the late 1990s.

In 1997, Vick assembled Six Shooter under Metal Mayhem Records — a raw, no-apologies hard rock unit featuring vocalist John Colura (R.I.P.), drummer Dino Castano, and bassist Bill Berrends. The record hit like a freight train and cemented his reputation as a guitarist who plays with absolute conviction.

Then came Never Stranded in 1998 — and the collaboration that changes careers. Sharing the studio with Joe Lynn Turner, the platinum-selling voice of Fandango, Rainbow, Deep Purple, and Yngwie J. Malmsteen's Rising Force, Vick delivered one of the most electrifying recordings of his career. Backed by keyboardist and engineer George Mena, the project proved that Vick LeCar belonged in any room, at any level.

Vick LeCar's Blue Moon (2000-2001) raised the stakes even higher. Vick assembled a lineup that reads like a who's who of rock royalty: bassist Danny Miranda of Blue Oyster Cult and Queen, drummer Michael Sciotto of Sun Red Sun, keyboardist Gordon G. Gebert of Ace Frehley's Frehley's Comet, and Paul Morris on keys, known for his work with Rainbow and Doro. The result was a masterclass in power blues — sophisticated, dangerous, and completely alive.

Bad Influence (2004) brought it back to the bone. Vick handled guitars and vocals, Erik LeCar contributed on keyboards, Dino Castano returned behind the drum kit, and Wade Parker locked in on bass. Lean, loud, and relentless. Since then, a steady stream of singles, non-stop live performances, and session work have kept Vick exactly where he belongs — white Les Paul in hand, playing like his life depends on it.

Influenced by the greats — Jimi Hendrix, Terry Kath, Ritchie Blackmore, Jimmy Page, Alvin Lee, Paco de Lucia, Carlos Santana, Joe Perry, Al DiMeola, Eddie Van Halen, and Michael Schenker, among many others — Vick LeCar does not imitate his heroes. He honors them by pushing further. Based in New Orleans, he continues to write, record, and perform with the hunger of a man who has never once taken the gift for granted.
